Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I start wedding dress shopping?
We recommend to start shopping for your wedding dress at least 9-12 months before your wedding date. This allows enough time for ordering your dress, alterations and any unexpected delays.
What prices do your dresses start from and go up to?
Our collection starts at around £1,800 and goes up to around £5,000. The majority of our dresses are around the £2,000-£3,000 mark.
Do I need to book an appointment to come and see you?
Yes, we operate on an appointment only basis so you have the entire boutique to yourself for this special experience. You can book your appointmemt here.
How long are your appointments?
Our appointments are 2 hours long which allows plenty of time for us to get to know you and understand your vision for your big day, for you to browse our incredible collection of dresses and of course to try the dresses on. And then celebrate when you find ‘the one’.
How many people should I bring with me to my dress appointment?
It is best to bring a small group of trusted friends or family members whose opinions you value. Too many opinions can be overwhelming and the decision-making process more difficult. We recommend three.
What should I bring with me to my dress appointment?
It is helpful to wear nude or light coloured underwear to your appointmemt. We have shoes for you to borrow but if you have your wedding shoes already then you’re welcome to bring them, along with any other accessories you know you want to wear on your wedding day.
Is there parking available?
We have our own customer car park directly outside the boutique with plenty of space for you and your guests to park in free of charge.
What sizes are your samples?
Our samples in the boutique range from a UK6-UK22 with the majority being 10s, 12s and 14s. We have clips and other accessories to help you see how the dress can fit you if it’s too big or too small.
How does payment work?
We kindly ask for payment in full at the time of purchase.
Can I take photos during my appointment?
We are happy to allow photos and videos to be taken during your appointment, but we always recommend that you use them for reference only and don’t use these pictures to make a decision on whether to choose a dress. Camera phone photos do not do the dresses justice, particuarly when the dress isn’t perfectly fitted to you.
Do you offer alterations?
We have three recommended seamstresses that we work with and who come to the boutique to do fittings. They are not employed by us and you are not obligated to use them, but we highly recommend them!
How much should I budget for alterations?
Our seamstresses recommend you allow a budget of £500. When you have your first dress fitting, they will give you a quote for the work that needs to be done and you can then decide if you would like to go ahead. If you decide to proceed, 50% is required at your first fitting and the remainder on collection.
